Pure Encapsulations DHEA is micronized to help increase absorption in the body. DHEA supports healthy regulation of fat and mineral metabolism, as well as endocrine and reproductive function, and energy levels.
DHEA, dehydroepiandrosterone, is the most abundant adrenal steroid hormone in the body. After it is made by the adrenal glands, it travels into cells throughout the body, where it is converted into androgens and estrogens. These hormones regulate fat and mineral metabolism, endocrine and reproductive function, and energy levels. The amount of each hormone to which DHEA converts to depends on an individual's biochemistry, age and sex. DHEA levels peak around age 25 and then decline steadily. DHEA supplementation supports emotional well-being and immune function.
Suggested Usage
Pure Encapsulations recommends taking 1 capsule daily with a meal.

I started using this with after my functional medicine doctor recommended it; however, it's a good rule of thumb to research using this before just jumping in, as DHEA does have some effects hormonally. But, for me, taking a small amount (10 mg) each day has noticeably helped raise my energy.

If your hormones are off you need DHEA 5-10 mg to get your hormones to work again. You also need Pregnenolone 30 -100mg (depending on your age) along with the DHEA. Once your hormones work you will loss fat!

This is already the second one I purchase from them. So far, so good. The 10 mg capsule is the minimum dose available - it is unnecessarily high. Since it comes as powder in capsules, I open the make 2 doses out of each.
