Gymnema is a woody, climbing plant native to India and Africa. Its Hindi name, "gumar", means "destroyer of sugar" and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. The leaves of Gymnema contain Triterpene Saponins called Gymnemic Acids. Gymnema may support normal blood glucose levels.
