In a base to provide prolonged activity over a 6 to 8 hour period. The release of iron will begin within 30 minutes of ingestion of the tablet and will take up to 8 hours.

When I had my lab work checked I discovered I was anemic & short of breath (we live in higher altitude). I had taken this product before with no problem. At first I took two a day but after a month couldn't deal with constipation. Now I take one with dinner & it really is helping my shortness of breath. My labs haven't been rechecked yet. There are many foods I can't eat that have iron in them, like iron fortified cereals.
