Vitamin D/K2 Liquid is a convenient way to supplement with both vitamins D and K2, which offer greater support for bones and the immune and cardiovascular systems together than either does individually.

Both vitamin D and vitamin K2 support bone and muscle health, along with cardiovascular health and immune function. It is important to maintain an optimal level of vitamin D in the body through all stages of life, from fetal development to old age. Vitamin K2, a series of molecules known as menaquinones, exerts a more powerful influence on bone than does vitamin K1. The vitamin K2 in this formula is the well-studied MK-4. Combining vitamins D and K can provide greater support of the immune and cardiovascular systems than each offers separately. For example, vitamin D is necessary for calcium absorption, and vitamin K is important for directing calcium to the bones and away from the soft tissues, such as blood vessels and kidneys.

Thorne's Vitamin D/ K2 Liquid also provides nutritional support for oncology patients.

One study in postmenopausal women found a combination of minerals along with vitamins D and K maintained healthy artery elasticity, compared to two other groups of women who received either minerals with vitamin D but not vitamin K, or placebo. Thorne's Vitamin D/K2 Liquid is in medium chain triglyceride oil, preserved with mixed tocopherols.

Liquid vs. capsule

by NMmarj

There are only about two liquid vitamin D3/K2 supplements on the market. I was taking the other one supplied by my nutritionist. This one is slightly less expensive. Thorne seems to be a high quality product. Drops are relatively tasteless. I'm told it is better absorbed this way than from capsules.

Vitamin K/D2 formulation good

by Louise D.

I take this formulation based on recommendations from health care professionals. It's tasteless and easy to take, and I appreciate not having to take one more supplement in pill form.

hard to dispense

by Sandy -

My review is based solely on the dispenser. The bottle doesn't come with an eye dropper. It comes with a slow drip stopper that is hard to tell how much is being dispensed if you are trying to drip it directly in your mouth. I suppose I could try to drip it into a spoon first. I haven't had my vitamin D levels tested since using this product but I have used other Thorne product in the past and they have been good products so I am assuming this product is working.

Continuing to use Thorne D/K2

by Mommy Bee

We've used these for years now. I love all of the ingredients in these D/K2 drops. The product doesn't include extra ingredients that could make the D and K more difficult to absorb. I noticed another customer stating that the dropper on the bottle doesn't work well. I agree. We transfer the oil to a designated hand-labeled bottle with squeeze dropper. It takes a bit of time to transfer, but this keeps us from losing precious drops on the counter and down the side of the bottle. Worth it for us. Our kids even take these from late fall to early spring when their time in the sun is limited. I take them year-round.

Dropper should be dropped

by Katrinka

I've patiently used 2 bottles of this pretty good product and each time hoped that the dropper was just a one-off error. It's difficult to wait the intended 10-15 seconds for each drop to exit the dispenser whether into a spool or hyperextending the neck. I agree with another reviewer that it's very hard to feel each drop on the tongue. Sadly, I've stopped using the product until they care enough to redesign the dispensing method.
