On a daily basis, our bones, which are active living tissue, are continually being resorbed and rebuilt. It is part of a normal process where old bone tissue is replaced with new. As we age, the body's ability to rebuild new bone is surpassed by the rate at which bones are being resorbed, which may result in unhealthy bone loss.

Calcuim is essential for building strong muscles, organs. teeth and bones. For this building process to work properly the calcium pass from the intestines into the blood stream to be absorbed by the body. As much as 90% of all calcium salts and carbonates will remain in the intestines - unused. For this reason calcium should be in a bioavailable form or part of a bioavailable matrix.
Suggested Usage
As a dietary supplement for adults and children twelve or more years of age, take four tablets serperately throughout the day, or as directed by a qualified healthcare professional. Take with 8 oz. of water, in-between meals.
Keep tightly closed in a dry place; do not expose to excessive heat.

I've been using Osteosheath ever since I was diagnosed with Osteopenia. My doctor wanted me on Fosamax, and after I read about what it can do to your bones it scared me into looking at safer alternatives.
Osteosheath doesn't come with a warning of jaw necrosis or fractures, only ingredients that can help your bones. Great formula!

Good ingredients, but...

I took this product for several years because it had a lot of very good ingredients for osteoporosis (except for Vitamin K2). One day I had an Xray of my abdomen and the radiologist saw several small objects that looked like pills in my colon. Most of my supplements are capsules and my doctor said these wouldn't remain whole through the digestive system. So I decided it must be the Osteosheath tablets. I was taking 3/day. Since I had some bottles left, I bought a pill crusher and took the tablets that way. When I finished the bottles, I decided to purchase a different brand. If you have a good digestive system, I think this product would be very good.

I've taken OsteoSheath for many years but the most recent order I received is different. The tablets are significantly larger and are uncoated, with a rougher texture. They are extremely difficult for me to swallow. I wrote to Vinco asking about the change and never received a reply. Sadly I will return these bottles and have to seek out a new source of calcium.

This product was recommended to me by a compounding pharmacist over 20 yrs. ago., and it is the only Calcium supplement I have taken since. The formula is excellent. Re: the person who wrote the formula was different. I too, had that, but when I contacted Vinco they said a different manufacturer did those, and when they discovered they were too large and too hard to swallow, they changed them back. They
sent a new bottle to me, and told me their warehouse no longer had the old lot number, so anything ordered from then out would be the original formula. I have ordered twice since then and, yes, they are the original size and coating, so I hope the customer in the review tries them again!
